Switches
Switches are everywhere in your home. They get used dozens of times a day, and not always gently. Over time with use and abuse switches can wear out. If you have a switch that is not working, is making noises when you use it, feels really stiff, loose or smells hot it is time to get if fixed. A bad switch can cause electrical shorts and cause shocks.
Standard Switches
If you have a popping sound coming from your switch, the switch won't stay in position, won't work or is just plain broken it is time to have a professional replace the switch and repair any damaged wiring at the same time.
Dimmers
Dimmers can help you dial back some harsh lighting on a dark night and save yourself a few dollars on your electric bill. Making sure that the dimmer and the lamp are compatible is critical for the proper operation of the dimming system. Dimmers can fail for many reasons and should be replaced when they stop working correctly, get hot to the touch or have that "hot electric smell".
Timers
Timers can be great for outdoor lighting, built in heaters, landscape lighting, etc. Anything that you want to turn on and off with regularity can be done via a programable timer. Great for added security by turning lighting on and off dusk till dawn and while on vacation.
Smart Switches
These are switches that you can control with your phone or tablet via an app. Give yourself control of your homes lighting wherever you may be. These switches do require special wiring and may need new wiring run to allow them to operate.
Occupancy Sensors
Occupancy sensors are a great option for garages, storage rooms, large closets or anywhere you may need. These will help by turning the light on only when someone is in the room and turning it off after the occupant has left the room.
