Sub Panels

If you are looking to add a few circuits to your house, but your panel is full, a new sub panel may be what you need. A sub panel will allow more breakers to be installed meaning more circuits for your home. We will always perform a load calculation of your connected load and verify that your current main panel has the correct available ampacity, and proper grounding before installing a sub panel.

Detached building

If you have a detached garage, barn, shop or out building that needs more than one circuit a sub panel could be a great option for you. By running a circuit from your main panel to your detached building and installing a sub panel we can have multiple circuits for any equipment, lighting and power needs.

Remodeling

If you are remodeling your kitchen you probably need to add some new circuits for convenience and for code requirements. If your panel is filled up with breakers a sub panel may be a good option. By installing a sub panel we can create more breaker spaces, meaning more circuits, so you can complete your kitchen remodel.

Finishing your basement

When you are finally thinking about finishing your basement, and your current electrical panel is full, a sub panel may be a good option for you. Finishing out your basement means a lot of new circuits for lighting, outlets and whatever else you may want to add, maybe a steam shower or a sauna. By adding a sub panel you will have all the breaker spaces you need to finish your basement.

Even if your panel is not full, installing a new sub panel in the right location in your basement buildout can be a good idea. All your basement circuits will be located in the basement sub panel and it can save you money on running your new circuits, as they will be shorter than if they were going all the way to the main panel.

Replacing an old sub panel

A lot of sub panels were added incorrectly by industrious homeowners, and some are just old and scary and need to be replaced. Whatever the case, if you have an old sub panel that needs to be replaced, we can do that and give the peace of mind that comes with new updated electrical.
